There are not many choices that line up with the grandchildren's spring break dates. So we are happy with Royal Caribbean from prior cruises. We have visited all three of the ports on prior cruises and just wanted a convenient way to spend time for all three generations of our family. We also like the fact that cruising from Galveston or Houston does not require an airfare and the 4-5 hour drive is not a difficult one under normal circumstances.
The food was excellent in the main dining room, but the breakfasts in the main dining room or buffets were uninspired. The crew was friendly, very customer oriented, and went out of the way to help our group.
This was my first cruise to interact with the Diamond Lounge and its staff. I was extremely impressed with the service and the leadership of Jorge Guitterrez, the Concierge. I will definitely avail myself of the amenities on subsequent cruises.
Comfortable bed with the upgrade to the eggshell padding for the mattress. The room was adequate and it was kept very clean. Our attendant was very good. Actually Nadine was exceptional. The balcony was convenient for lounging, coffee, just getting some fresh air. It was located amidships, so there was easy access for the elevators, which was important since my wife has limited mobility.
