We drove to Miami from Orlando area and stayed in Miami overnight at a motel 15 minutes from the port. It was a comfortable place that we could see the city skyline from our window. Embarkation was smooth. We arrived around 11:00, the bag men took our luggage than we proceeded to go to the line outside the port that moved quickly. We showed our ID's went to the waiting area where they took our embarkation photo. We waited for our number to be called and proceeded to the ship. It took around an hour for us to board. I went to the box office to book the shows I wanted, I couldn't get all the shows before the cruise and NCL told me to book it while on the ship. I got After Midnight, Brat Pack, Magician, and a comedy show. I booked 3 specialty restaurants: Le Bistro, Teppanyaki, and Cagney's. I got the specialty restaurants and excursions as my freebies.

We went to the 16th floor Garden Cafe to eat lunch. It had a good selection of food: Salad bar, lunch meats, hot bar, dessert bar, fruits that are whole and sliced. We checked the grand kids into splash club than went to see our rooms. We got balcony rooms that had an adjoining door to the rooms. 9742 and 9744. Tommy our room steward was wonderful. He was like a ninja whenever we left and came back our room was spotless. My husband loved to keep the sliding door open so we could hear the sea. My daughter had her friend and the 2 grand kids in one room that had a pull down bed, couch and two singles that was comfortable to them.

I had reservations for all the dinners ahead of time to make sure we could eat when the kids were out of the club. The first night we ate at Le Bistro the meal was delicious. Next night we ate at the Manhattan. Nice dance floor and band. The food was good. Next sea day we ate at Taste. It was OK. The service was off. My husband and I saw "After midnight", which was great! Singing, dancing, tap, musicians were excellent. My husband usually doesn't like shows, but he loved this one. We ordered an excursion on the TV for St. Thomas, St. John on your own. I wish we had more time there, we had to be on the boat before 5:30 so we were rushed. That night we ate at Teppanyaki. It was the best show the chef was great! The food was delicious. Next day we went to the baths in the Tortola British V I. Another rushed excursion. We could have stayed longer to enjoy the beach. That night we cancelled eating at Savor. We saw the Magician. He was good. We ate at Food Republic a few times for lunch and that night for dinner. Good Japanese food. Next night we ate at Manhattan(my favorite of the complimentary). Nassau day, I stayed on the ship and enjoyed the slides that were open everyday. We did the putt-putt and arcade. That night we ate at Cagney's. Very good steak. My daughter and I saw the Brat pack. The show was very good. The cast sang, and played instruments. Throughout the days we did the different activities and enjoyed the room. I did half the ropes course. I chickened out of doing all of it. We had two Brew house experiences at lunch time. NCL provided free beers and snacks. We got an invitation in our room from the staff. Jovo, Deepak, Errol, Andre, Gilbert, Nomita, Charles and Ronney. We got chocolate covered strawberries twice compliments of Jovo Sekulovic. It was very nice that we had some extras that we didn't expect.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BE

Nice balcony cabin with adjoining room. It helped that we could leave the doors to the adjoining room open and watch the grand kids when my daughter wanted to go out. Layout of the room was similar to other cruise lines that I have been on. I liked the glass shower door.
