Sail Date: Mar 2017

This is the second trip my family has taken on the Brilliance of the Seas. The first time was three years ago with a different itinerary. I really like the size of the ship. It is large, but not so big that it feels like too much. We left out of the port of Tampa, and our check-in to the boat was quick and efficient.

Lunch in the Windjammer was interesting the first day. I don't remember it being quite so busy last time. There were just crowds of people hanging out at tables, so there was nowhere for people just arriving to eat their lunch. I saw a lot of people leaving with full plates to eat in their rooms. The staff were literally running around trying to clear off tables, but since people were not leaving, that didn't solve the problems. Some of the food was under-cooked that first day, and I was worried that the problem would continue, but it did not. Each day the Windjammer food seemed to get better.

The main dining room was wonderful from the first day! We tried to eat there as many meals as we could. My family especially liked the tutti salad at lunch, where your salad is individually made and tossed with ingredients that you select. The staff in the main dining room were wonderful, especially at dinner. They were especially helpful with the picky eaters in my family. Our room attendant was kind and helpful, and he made really great towel animals.
