This is our 2nd cruise on Royal Caribbean. Our first was an Alaska cruise in 2009 when Royal Caribbean either lost one of our bags from the airport or lied about ever having it in the first place. The bag was never recovered and neither Royal Caribbean nor the airline ever took responsibility or even seemed to care that we'd lost our stuff.

Since that time, my partner and I have gone on several cruises with Norwegian and Carnival both in groups with friends and family and as a couple and had wonderful times, excellent service, and no lost luggage.

The only reason we went on this cruise was in order to spend time with a couple of friends, and support their efforts to organize a group cruise that share a mutual interest in the "Steampunk" fandom/subculture. So, with misgivings, I agreed to go.

Interior Stateroom

Cabin Q

Just your average interior room. Storage space was well designed, lots of drawers. There was an extra bar in the closet about halfway down that seemed like a nice idea but kept dresses and skirts from being able to be hung on that half of the closet. Bed was a bit on the harder side, but not terrible. There was a memory foam topper that helped. Linens were soft and good quality.
