We originally purchased this cruise through groupon for spring break, being that it was the cheapest we could find. I had purchased 2 separate vouchers for the four of us and last minute one of our friends needed to cancel. We found a new person and I called 2 days before our cruise to do a name change(which I had to pay $50 for). Upon arriving they tagged our suitcase with our room number (U72, U74) and we walked through security to get into line. As we are about to check in we are informed that our reservation had been cancelled and I had to directly call customer service to find out why. After being on hold for almost an hour, and very rude women informed us that the taxes were never paid and our trip had been cancelled, after we paid the taxes almost a MONTH in advance. She told me that the payment never went through, although I could see a charge from the company of my bank account for the $265. At this point I was furious but had no option but to ask her to rebook and repay the taxes. She put me on hold AGAIN for another 15 minutes to "find a room" to which we were reassigned the same rooms for the original trip that had been "cancelled". If they knew for a month that our trip was cancelled why was I not informed when I called about the name change and how could I have possibly been assigned a room. I have yet to call about my refund but from prior reading of reviews I feel like I will not be receiving my money back. On the way back the water was so bad(and considering the boat is small) we were literally tipped to the left side to the point that paintings were falling and all our things were flying off the shelves for the entire nigh. Overall I would just shell out the extra couple hundred and go on an actual cruise ship were you don't have to stress about them messing something up and being worried about what is an extra charge.
