Princess cruises was recommended to us, but I've had better.

Rooms were lovely, meals good, service was good, but the ship was looking tired. The carpet by the pool was torn up and was an accident waiting to happen. Getting the hairdryer fixed in our cabin took two days. Never enough staff on reception. You had to queue for ages to get your disembarkation tags. Why wasn't they sent to your rooms? Bills were incorrect. And to top it all, we left our cabin at 8p.m on the last evening for dinner etc. Because there was a long queue for dinner, we decided to go and have a look at the photo gallery. We decided to buy the photo from the formal evening. After eating, and having drinks, we returned to our room to find a voucher had been left in our pigeon hole. It stated for one hour only that evening, you could buy a photo and get one free. What was the point of letting people know after 8p.m When most people would have left the room for the evening. There was no mention of this offer when purchasing this photo. So I went to have a word with them the following morning, and was greeted by very reluctant assistant who refused to see my point of view. I asked to see the manager, but she said she wasn't available, and didn't want to give me the managers name. Unfortunately it was time to disembark the ship, so I couldn't take this any further.

Leaving the ship at each port ran very smoothly but the trips were a rip off. And it was distressing to see the baby elephant in Thailand rocking side to side. I spoke to the trainer, and said that elephant is stressed, and he said its because he's been separated from his mother. I think princess cruises should think twice about this trip. Also, when we arrived in Malaysia, the bankers came on board for you to exchange money. The queue was horrendous. After waiting 20 minute and still no nearer to reaching the bankers, a passenger came and told us that if we were going to the shopping mall, there was exchanges there. So why didn't the crew tell us this, instead of watching us stand in line for all that time. There was just no comunication. And the rate of exchange was so much better off the ship.

I loved the layout of the cabin, having a dressing room area. Very clean, no complaints

Singapore

Lots to do in Singapore, but take the trains. They take you to all the major attractions, are very easy to follow and cheap.
