This was my 5th cruise, and by far the worst cruise I have been on. I traveled with my wife and my in-laws. We purchased 2 separate rooms on the Eurodam. My previous cruises were with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. Do yourself a favor and book your cruise with Royal Caribbean or Celbrity.

1) The room we booked 4053 - Deluxe Verandah- This was a terrible room, we were up-sold by the Holland America salesperson on the phone. The balcony was larger than the other rooms however, there was no privacy. Everyone could see you sitting on patio. We attempted to change rooms, but were told we could not do so. They informed us 48 hours later that another room was available, but by that time I wasn't going to pack everything up and move. They did not compensate us with anything or even offer to compensate us. So the cruise did not start off well, and did not end well. I will never cruise with Holland America again, and I suggest you don't either.

2) There was absolutely no entertainment near the pool or anywhere on board. They didn't even have music playing near the pool. They could have at least put on easy listening or Caribbean themed music on. Everyone was forced to sit in silence The shows at night were just average too. Read more
