I have a lot of travel points with Carnival and there were no available cruise offers for me on my usual Mexican Riviera cruise. Therefore, my friend and I chose the Eastern Caribbean.

The ship appeared worn and dirty. It looked like it needs a complete "makeover."

Embarkation with "Faster to the Fun" helped the process.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6A

The cabin was in need of a thorough cleaning. The carpets were stained and the linens appeared dirty and stained; they had a strong odor about them.

Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

This was an area that contained lots of shops and places to lay by a pool (not free). Very touristy.

St. Thomas

Sad to see how commercial this is. I was here about 15 years ago and it was beautiful and tropical. Now it is expensive stores with overpriced items.

Grand Turk

Once again, a lot of shops that were not reasonable for souvenirs. The beach area was ok; nothing outstanding.
