Sail Date: Mar 2017
Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

We got on this cruise very last-minute, due to a cancellation on Tuesday before sail date of 3/18/17. We had not been on this ship or been to three of the four ports, so we were excited about that. I can honestly say that Rhapsody, while older, was very clean, mostly updated and well appointed. Our cabin was very comfortable and clean. And from Guest Services to Housekeeping to the bartenders and wait staff, everyone was very friendly, helpful and attentive to their guests.

I'll start with the only negative, and that was that a couple of the production shows were not so good. But the headliners were very entertaining. On-board activities were standard cruise ship things, but very fun and plenty of them. We did My Time dining two nights and were pleased with the efficient seating and service and food quality. We did one specialty restaurant, Izumi, and it was outstanding! I'm not much into sushi, but this was excellent. Worth the extra cost, and even better with the first-night 20% discount. Service around the ship was very good at the bars and venues.

My only disappointment here was the R-Bar. Usually one of my favorite places, the staff here lacked the normal fun atmosphere of other ships we've been on. But with other options, that really wasn't a problem.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Cabin was small for a balcony room, but comfortable. This is an older ship and our room was the same size as the other balcony rooms. Very clean. Bed was comfortable and bedding is great! I can also say that the air conditioning worked very well.
