Piano bar! Ben Gentry the piano man, and some fellow cruisers rocking out!
We found the ship coin!!
Happy faces! :)
Selfies with the Cruise Director Mike Pack! He was awesome!

I was reluctant to book my cruise on the Vista because of some of the reviews and I am so happy I went for it anyway. I just got back from a 6-day cruise that ported in Ocho Rios, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. The ship is perfect, the crew is fantastic, and there was almost nothing that could have been better! I have cruised previously with carnival on the Breeze and the Destiny (before it was the sunshine). The Destiny was (obviously) in need of some upgrades but was still fun, the Breeze was fantastic, and I would say the Vista is truly the best cruise ship so far. For people looking for seriously fun nights aboard the ship, check out Ben Gentry at the piano bar! 4 hours goes by faster than you think in there, I had completely lost my voice from singing (yelling) along by the time I was headed home. We managed to hit everything we had planned and not one thing let us down. Skyride was awesome and worth the wait in line (go on a day when everyone else is still on shore), we had our time dining and never had to wait once (we ate around 5:30 - 6:30 and grabbed snacks on the lido or pizza later on at night if we got hungry). I took my best friend along with me and the morning we got back to Miami she cried several times because she just didn't want it to be over. Your cruise it what you make it! My face hurts from smiling! ...now back to reality.

Cabin Review

Interior

Cabin 4F

Our cabin was PERFECT! I always scout out the deck plans on the carnival site prior to to make sure I wont be in a high traffic area and I could not have picked a better room. There are a small group of interior rooms that are square instead of rectangle and give you better use of your floor space because of it. Unless you were in one of the 5 cabins in our private hall, there was no other reason to walk down it. We heard no outside noise whatsoever! It was toward the aft of the ship so there was just enough rocking to put you to sleep and not make you nauseous. :)

Port Reviews

Miami

We always stay at Holiday Inn or YVE hotel downtown Miami and hang out at the Bayside marketplace. So many things to do, eat, drink , shop, dance, and it is so close to the port!

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

I want to move so badly now it hurts. 7 mile beach is the place to be, I have never seen water so clear or felt sand so soft. I almost wish I missed the ship back home! :)

Cozumel

This was my second time to Cozumel so I stuck close to the port, shopped, relaxed, and got plenty of pictures. I have been to San Miguel and to San Gervasio and did not feel the need to go again. I drank a foot long margarita and had a wonderful day!

Ocho Rios

Barely made it 10 feet away from the port area before we were offered drugs and non-stop aggressive harassment. My suggestion, pop off the ship long enough to grab a small gift, some pictures, and get back on the ship and enjoy all the fun it has to offer with no waiting lines. :)
