I wanted to sail out of Jacksonville as I had not done so before and was lookig for a cruise to take my daughter in law for a quick cruise. I have cruised Carnival three other times and have done 42 cruises. Embarkation was delatedfor everyone until 1:30 due to having to get materials off the ship. This included people who paid for Faster to the Fun..This ship is severely worn. Our cabin looked like there had been a brawl. The cabinets were all chipped, the room was dirty, there was a big gummy square patch on the wall where a sign or phone used to be. The room was dusty and dirty. The bathroom smelled of stale smoke when you showered. There was no refrigerator in the room and when I asked they only had them if you needed them for medication. No ice in the room unless you asked and then no tongs. No hair dryer in the room. Had to call and request one. They did reclean the room but there was a bugger on the bathroom wall and the trash basket was all sticky with someting that looked like yogurt. Meals all week were lukewarm to cold.Disembarkation was a cluster. Two elevators , over an hour late start, long lines. They don't let Uber in the port. The Customs were fast but long lines. Drive up parking was miserably slow. I have never been on a cruise like this. Dinner service was very slow. The Pizza Pirate was good food. I did have a wonderful Chef's Table. The chocolate extravaganza was not much of an extravaganza. I can say it is the first time I did feel pressured to buy drinks or pictures. I did have a massage in thee sp that was excellent. I would never recommend someone book this ship until it is refurbished and I'd even think twice then.
Kids running in hall. Not very soud proof.
The harrassing by vendors as you leave the port was almost as bad a Jamaica. There were also no shuttles on the pier.
Lovely lady gave out souvenier pennies to people in the shopping area at the port.
The Uber driver was not alloowed into the port. We had to walk in and they got a golf cart for us after yelluing at us about the Uber driver.
