We went on this cruise because my Daughter wanted to visit Key West. We had traveled on Hal three times previously. We are Platinum on Carnival and on Princess. We received a small casino offer, and a good price on a cabin for our daughter, SIL and Grandchild.
The Wait staff was great. We tipped everyone involved in serving dinner at table 191. We looked forward to going to dinner each night. The food was typical cruise food, and I don't say that in a haughty manner. It is more sophisticated that what we eat at home. Our Daughter and SIL are "foodies", and they really enjoyed the food. They were adventurous.
The Buffet was fine. I liked that the staff served the food. Cut down on the transmission of virus bugs, I think. No one was ill during the cruise. OTHER than being sea sick, which I was to my surprise. I just had tubes placed in my ears to drain something, and I think it must be connected. The Pills worked.
Cabin Review
Deluxe Ocean-View Verandah Stateroom
The cabin was fine. We had difficulty in figuring out how to turn the shower on, but once we solved that, we were fine. Storage was O.K. the two big cabinets above the sofa helped. The balcony was fine. Not overly large , but good for two people.
We slept like logs, so I guess the beds were fine.
The Television was a Jewel. It was large, mounted on a big wall board right in front of the bed. I really enjoyed watching the great free movies on demand. I did not expect that to happen.
ALSO they have Fox News. MSNBC News. Not just CNN all day. I think they had CNN in the "family" Section. I did not miss seeing it one bit.
We were below the Lido Deck. I heard some scrapping one day, other than that, no noise at all.
It was a good cabin. We were very pleased with it.
