Galveston is a great place to take a cruise from because of its convenience and accessibility to Houston. The great people of Galveston work very hard to get everyone on the ship. Embarkation was relatively easy.

We are diamond RCCL members and maybe that made it easy this time. Until now, we were Emerald. One advantage of cruising with RCCL is that they acknowledge your loyalty, not to mention the 3 drinks per day added to your sea pass card. =)

The staff was very accommodating as was management. The comedian and singer were great. The disco night in the Promenade was so much fun and wish the cruise director, etc. could thrown more sparkling rings. btw, jeff the cruise director was just so cute and entertaining. you could tell he loved his job. He make the funniest "off the cuff" comments. Esp. when his wife called and he told the morning show people that he didn't know why she was calling as she just sailed with him a week or so ago. I think he misses his wife and family. Anyway, the cruise was terrific.

Just a great size for us baby boomers~loved the balcony and the location on ship. There was a tad bit of a long wait to get an elevator from this 12th floor on disembarkation morning to the lower decks.
