Sail Date: Mar 2017

We booked our first cruise 3 weeks prior to sailing. Be advised - there is a lot of paper work involved (and I mean a lot!) plus mandatory forms, particularly as requested by Princess cruises.

At 54, we were a little daunted when we discovered the average age was over 70, but don't let this put you off. This age group lends itself to a courteous, peaceful crowd, good conversation, well mannered and great company without the noise and bustle of some holidays. We were very impressed.

We booked outside cabin with obstructed views. Comfortable, very clean, spacious with tv, good sized fridge, hairdryer (not the most powerful, but electrical goods, including irons are removed at boarding and collected before disembarkation so don't bother taking any), large, comfortable bed with pillows so comfortable I wanted to buy for home. At least 40 coat hangers in spacious hanging area and a safe. The views were reasonable and better than anticipated. Try and book a room with shorter corridors as less people passing. However, sleep quality good and very little noise heard.
