Having been on the Koningsdam last Fall, I was prepared to be disappointed in the Oosterdam since it is an older ship. I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice she was. The refurbishing that took place in 2015 showed in all of the public areas and in our balcony cabin. Another great surprise was the quality of the music in Billboard Online (dueling pianos with singalong) and in the BB King lounge. We were onboard during spring break so maybe that was the reason there were such lively audiences, but both venues were hopping! The shows were also very good though we did miss two of the seven offered. The food was wonderful, but the soups were not as good as we remembered them being. We didn't go to either of the specialty restaurants. As usual, the Indonesian and Filipino crew were wonderful though they were probably overworked! Our room steward was so efficient and remembered every one of our special requests.
