Marina Cruise Review by ABEEHILTZ
- Sail Date: March 2017
- Destination: Caribbean
- Cabin Type: Verandah Stateroom
However there are some things that need tweaking. The excursions that we booked from the ship were not well planned at all or good value. The itinerary was changed before we left to add Cuba (where we had not wanted to visit) and took away two other ports of call we had wanted to visit giving us an extra sea day which I did not appreciate. In retrospect we should have taken the ship board credit offered and not the excursions. The destinations desk was not interested in our negative comments.
The entertainment second rate apart from a wonderful violinist Amy Lee and a singer who performed her first solo debut
The specialty restaurants are excellent and we enjoyed all of them.
The buffet for dinner very good - serving lobster and steak and fish cooked to order. The dress code is country club casual so no formal nights which makes packing easier. Laundromat available
Disembarkation very orderly and we got off the ship in a timely manner.

Also the description of the torture of slaves was shocking - not what I wanted to hear - it was such a hot day we got a taxi back to the ship
Rainforest Aerial Tram TourVery disorganized Hanging around for 1 1/2 hours waiting for transportationView All 10 Rainforest Aerial Tram Tour Reviews
Saw 2 sloths and heard a bird oh and a butterfly - the aerial ride itself was enjoyable but the howler monkies, coatimundi, capybara, beautiful birds along with iguanas and frogs must have been on vacation
The walk up the lookout was worth the effort and we were rewarded with beautiful views

Eco CruiseVery low key - interesting train ride. We saw bananas growing and the guide showed us coffee bean pods. Also spied a monkey. The boat ride was ok but only saw one sloth, a bird and a cayman? CrocView All 10 Eco Cruise Reviews
