We were a family of 5 with kids ranging from 11-18. I have to say that the ship was beautiful and all of the common areas clean and fun to be in. Our room was a balcony room and much smaller than we anticipated. Actually, the rooms were not as nice as we expected either. The carpeted hallways where the rooms are were very stained and kind of gave a dirty feel and the beds were hard as a rock. When we got to our room, the doors to an adjoining room were unlocked. We did not know the people in the other room and requested the doors be locked. It took FOREVER to get someone to come lock the door and in the mean time, we had to go to the muster drill. Also, we requested that the room our kids were in have the beds separated and this never happened. However, everywhere else was in great shape and beautiful. The main dining room was fabulous and the food was great. Service was outstanding. The Boardwalk, Central Park and Promenade are fabulous and awesome to just walk through.

As far as entertainment, our 14 year old had a great time. Our 18 year old and 11 year old were kind of lost in the shuffle. The pools were great but being on ships in the past with waterslides kind of made this ship a little boring for our 11 year old. The shows were great and really entertaining. There were several but most of them book up really early.

We did shore excursions in the ports and our 14 year old took the scuba certification class. It was a great experience for him. The only bad thing was that we had purchased other shore excursions for the rest of our family and when we got onboard, we found out that a parent had to be present for our son's dives, but only in Jamaica. We had to try to get a refund for my husband's shore excursion in Jamaica and this proved to be a little bit of a problem. The credit was issued back to us but then taken away again. If we had not been watching, we wouldn't have caught they we were charged again for the excursion he could not go on. In all the paperwork, it said that our son could do the diving certification by himself so it would have been nice to know a parent needed to be present in Jamaica. (however, he could go by himself at the other ports.) The shore excursions were wonderful. We did the tubing, boat ride and climb to Dunns River Falls. The tubing and the falls were wonderful. Lots of fun and beautiful. Don't waste your time with the boat ride. It is an extra $20 pp. The crew never talked to anyone except to try to get you to get your hair braided. Then, at the end, they pressured everyone for a tip. That happened as well on the tubing and climbing the falls. I think we were asked about 5 times on each to remember to tip after the excursion. The tubing guys even followed you to the bus asking for a tip. So, we were asked to tip the tubing guides, the boat guides, the fall guides and then the bus driver and tour person. Remember to take cash for this because they REALLY pressure you-even following you to get the tip. We have no problem ever tipping but really hate feeling so pressured to do so. Also, there is nowhere to put your money and things while on the tour except to leave it on the bus. Be prepared with some type of waterproof carrier for your things because you won't feel good having to leave your things on the bus and there are no lockers. The snuba in Cozumel was great for our 11year old who was too young for scuba. She had a great time. Also, the water park in Labadee was fun for the 14 and 11yr old. Just note that you are only allowed a 1 hour time slot.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D7

Cabin attendant was not very attentive. The room never really felt clean. Stains on sheets and rock hard bed. Cabins were not made up with bed preference and adjoining door was unlocked (did not know people in other room).
