One of our most memorable cruises. Left New Orleans on 03/12/17. First time on Norwegian. We were schedule to board from 10:30 to 11:00. Due to rain was running a little late and didn't get to the Port until about 10:40. Was on the boat by 11:00!!!!!! Went straight to O'Sheehans (as highly recommended by Cruise Critics). Loved, loved O'Sheehans. Ate several of our meals there and some times just went in for a drink and an appetizer. The bartenders in O'Sheehans were the very best. Luggage was delivered promptly to our cabin so we were able to unpack and get settled in before Dinner. We had reservations at the Italian Restaurant. We had eaten so much Italian the week prior to the cruise that we chose to order steaks. Wise choice. The steaks were so tender. I think I liked my husband's T-Bone better than my Ribeye. Retired early that evening.

Monday was a sea day. Rained a little and was overcast most of the day. Just relaxed. Tuesday we were in Cozumel. We had booked Resort-for-a-Day. We took a cab to El Cozumeleno. Very nice resort. Had a great time there; however, the food was not good at all. Went back to the ship hungry. Wednesday we were in Roatan. We had booked Little French Key (first time there). It was wonderful. The island is beautiful; the service was beyond compare (we had Robert as our waiter and he went above what we expected); and the food was delicious. Would not hesitate to book Little French Key the next time we are in Roatan. Thursday we were in Harvest Caye. Very beautiful and well kept. So many things to do on the island. We ate at Landshark and the food was very good and the service was great. Yes, you do pay for everything on the island; however, it was not that expensive. Enjoyed laying out by the pool; however rain set in early in the afternoon and we were forced to return to the ship around 2:30. Would have loved to spend our whole day there. Friday we were in Costa Maya. We had booked Maya Chan and was very pleased with it. It was just as described. The food on the buffet was the best Mexican I have ever eaten. Service there was great. Went back early to go shopping at the Port. Was not impressed with the pool or the shops at port. Didn't buy anything.

Saturday was a sea day and was a beautiful day and was able to lay out all day; nice cool breeze. I would say that the food onboard was some of the best we have ever had. We at the Italian, Mexican and Steak restaurants and was not disappointed in any of them. In fact, the food was so good (even at the Garden Buffet) that we never even made it to the dining room. The shows onboard were very good (the ones we saw). Elements was probably my favorite. The boat had a lot of college kids onboard; however, they were probably the nicest college kids ever. They always spoke and were very polite. Would definitely do the Dawn again. In fact, thinking of booking again for next Spring Break with all of our grandkids.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BB

Very comfortable cabin. Plenty of storage. Larger shower than on most cruise lines. Bed very comfortable. Balcony small, but adequate. Room steward (Adeline) was very good. Near front of ship. Very quiet. Convenient to elevator.
