Had a wonderful cruise. All cruise staff from Mohamed who kept my room clean (and folded towels different daily), the bus men/women, guest relations staff, and Vladimir the buffet floor supervisor ( easy to tell all his employees loved him) were very helpful and showed that they appreciated you being there. I walked every floor while at sea and everyone of the staff members greeted me with a "Good Morning" and a smile. I have not taken a vacation in years and this one was the better than it could be. Very relaxing sitting on my balcony and simply enjoying the peace and quiet. Carnival Freedom staff took really good care of this guest. Only down side to me cruise was that it was too windy for two of the day excursions, but that isn't Carnival's fault. I was offered a refund for both. Disappointing for me, but I have already booked a cruise on Carnival Freedom for next year.

Roatan

OK, the scuba was cancelled due to wind and refunded. So I walked around a bit and found the Extreme Zip Line. Was fun, but only lasted about an hour so I had about 6-1/2 hours of shore time to kill so I spent about two on beach.

Galveston

Home port. Boarding was a bit long and deboarding much longer (two ships docked within 20 minutes of each other so customs was very crowded), but I made it through without difficulty.
