We went on the Viking River cruises and enjoyed that so we wanted to try the Ocean version of Viking. we were pleasantly impressed. We enjoy the smaller ship atmosphere and no crowds. The pace was good and the tours were enjoyable. I think with a little time and adjustments the tours will be of the same caliber and content of the European tours. We really liked being able to relax and enjoy the spa area which was seldom crowded. We met many new friends and the conversations at dinner were enriching as we shared life experiences with each other. I love that the type of demographic attracts a somewhat more refined traveler, I do not like the "mega ship booze cruise crowd" or the wild party entertainment at the pools. The crew was very friendly and helpful during the cruise. Another great feature is that the price includes almost every conceivable expense for the cruise. I will definitely cruise with Viking again.
