My husband and I went on this cruise together and it was our 4th Carnival cruise. Embarkation was a BREEZE with Carnival's new staggered check in. We walked right on with no lines! Our room was ready right at 1:30 PM and our luggage was there by 3:00 PM. We stayed in a balcony cabin (7410) and our room steward was amazing!

The dining options have improved since our last sailing in June of 2016. They had featured "Port of Call" items that we delicious. We ate in the main dining room for dinner and sea day brunches. They only time we used the buffet was when we were in a hurry to get off the ship at the ports - it was OK. The pizza and tandoori grill were sooooo good too!

We loved the ports! In the DR we took the waterfalls of damajagua excursion through carnival - it was AWESOME! We got back to the port with a few hours to spare however the taxi prices were VERY cost prohibitive. Apparently the taxi driver must stay with you until you for your round trip. So it was $70 round trip to get to down town (15 minutes from port) and $60 for us to back track 10 minutes to the fishing village to eat lunch. We were bummed and stayed in the port.
