Booked this cruise over a year and a half ago when tickets went on sail. Since having great experiences on our 7 prior Carnival cruises we were anxious to check out this new ship. It had been a year and a half since our last cruise.

I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. Aside from the ships long list of amenities I was very happy to find that the things that are basic to all ships and cruises seemed to have gotten even better..Overall the food in all venues just seemed better. The entertainment was superb and there was never a dull moment.

This ship is big! My fitness tracker recorded an average of 8000 steps a day which is good as it helps offset the indulgences. I do try and work out daily as well. Even with the high passenger count there are plenty of places on the ship outside of your cabin to get some quiet time. It is up to you. Notably is deck 5 Lanai areas, the Library and the Havana Bar. Carnival has done a great job of providing services away from the Lido Deck marketplace. We would grab continental breakfast in the Ocean Plaza on Deck 5 and sit outside and enjoy. No crowds at all. I am not a fan of the marketplace and try to avoid it as much as possible.
