This was my 4th cruise on Carnival. We chose this cruise because of the ports. Hadn't ever been to Grand Turks or Amber Cove. Neither one of us are sun worshipers so the first port of Half Moon Cay was a waste of time in the long tendering process to just get to an island to have nothing to do. Grand Turk was enjoyable and we thoroughly loved Amber Cove. I would highly recommend Ocean World excursion through Carnival, it was awesome!!! Going through process of embarkation went quickly but actually getting on the ship was a long drawn out process. Disembarkation was a nightmare. A little communication from the staff would have been nice so we knew what the hold up was. We did make our flight but in the past had no problems getting right off the ship.

Had cabin 7277 and it was an excellent cabin for location. We had good serving team in dining room but seems as if they have assigned them to far more tables than in the past so our food was always cold when it came out to our table and you didn't get that hands on service that you used to feel you received in main dining room. Maitre'd never was around to tables in our area of dining room. I don't care for the American Table menu at all, not near the choices that used to be offered. We found ourselves eating on Lido instead of going to dining room.

Entertainment was ok, but not really my choice. We saw the exact same show on Epic Rock night that we saw a year ago on the Sunshine, verbatim. Best night was the last one that they wouldn't let them use props due to safety reasons and you actually got to hear their voices. Now where to start with the cruise director, he left A LOT to be desired in my opinion. When you have sailed on the Victory with Marcello, it is hard to find someone who would even begin to hold a candle to him. Our room steward was good, didn't want for anything. The overall enthusiasm of the staff was really low and that affects how the morale is on the whole cruise. Oh the worst night for rude employees was at the Red Rum Bar on Lido one night while watching a movie. They were all stressed out and cussing because they had to make popcorn and the rude gentleman wo was behind the bar was f'ing this and f'ing that so he soured me for the rest of the evening.
