It was a cheap midwinter getaway to the Bahamas. It was our first time on Carnival. Carnival substituted ships about a month or so before the cruise and, reading the reviews of the Liberty, we had much trepidation, but we figured we could withstand anything for just four days. It was actually quite pleasant.

Check-in was a breeze, our cabin was adequate. The balcony was very spacious. Unfortunately, we couldn't use it much because it was extremely windy. There were no odors or backed up toilets or rust or any other signs of aging that others have mentioned in other reviews.

Our only problem as a minor one-- the laundromat wouldn't accept our key. A supervisor showed up after about a half hour delay and comped us the wash. That was absolutely the right thing to do. I wish more businesses had that attitude!

Port Reviews

Nassau

There's not really much to see in Nassau. For what is there, it was fine.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

It was just embarkation. Close to Kennedy Space Center and we did a tour there when we returned.
