Arrived in Singapore

We stayed at Singapore Conrad (Hilton family) which is walking distance from the harbor attractions, the flower dome, Marina Bay casino, etc. Great location, very close to a nice shopping mall, etc. Highly recommended. We took a walk around the bay and checked out some of the local sites.

Lots of great local restaurants and many choices. You have to love as a US tourist that most people speak English in most places.

Cabin Review

Owner's Suite with Balcony

Cabin S2

We got a great deal from American Express and got a full suite special. In all honesty, it not really any better than a mini-suite, but the one delight is the premium mattress and linens with the bed being slightly separated from the main room with some thick curtains that you can close at night. This makes it much quieter and a little bit cooler at night in this very hot and humid region. But…if you want your room cooler than 70 degrees at night, you are going to need to have the cabin steward put a top sheet on your bed because the air conditioning system cannot combat the humidity any better than that. The bathroom has two doors, which is nice but it ends up being a funky triangle shape that cuts into the useable space; I also enjoyed having a walk-in closet.
