We sailed on Viking Sea from Barcelona to Rome. We enjoyed every minute being on the ship and also the land excursions from every port of call. The ship is superior to any other cruise ship that we have travelled on previously. It was beautifully designed, in the Scandivanian motif, and every detail in the cabins, lounges and restaurants were first class. The entire crew were very professional and also provided extremely courteous and friendly service throughout the whole cruise. The food and wine served in the restaurants was very good with many different choices. The shore excursions were well planned by Viking and the guides provide in every port were very knowledgeable and professional.
Unfortunately, the weather on our arrival in Barcelona was bad with very rough seas, which prevented us form boarding the Viking Sea until the following day. However, Viking quickly arranged to accommodate us in a 5-star hotel until we could board the ship .
Cabin Review
The cabin was beautifully appointed and well laid out. The bathroom was much bigger and more comfortable than our experience on other bigger cruise ships.

Went on a trip to Cassis up the French coast. The trip was well planned and informative.
Monaco (Monte Carlo)
Excellent trip to the Grasse Perfume Factory and subsequently to St. Paul de Vence. Both trips were very enjoyable and well worth the cost of same.
Corsica (Ajaccio)
Excellent bus trip up through the beautiful mountain countryside. The stop at a pub of wine and cheese was very enjoyable.
