This was our first cruise with RCCL. Our only other cruise was on the Disney Dream. It's very hard to compare RCCL to Disney, especially when you're cruising with an 8 year old. We were also cruising with anoth couple and their 8 year old.
Parking and check in was relatively easy. Once onboard we headed to the Windjammer Cafe and had an average buffet lunch. Nothing spectacular, but better than many. We then heade to the pool. This is when we started to see just how many college spring breakers were on this particular cruise. My wife and I wanted a drink so I went to the bar by the kiddie pool. This bar was jam packed with spring breakers. It took a while before I finally got service. Both bars by the main pools were jammed with college kids. Day 1 not so impressed with all these partying students. Breakers from several east coast colleges numbering well over 1000.
Things we enjoyed: We enjoyed going to dinner every night! Had a good time with Ricky and Mario, our servers. Menu was very good, but not exceptional. Rock climbing was a hit with our daughter, as was the ice skating, and miniature golf. I enjoyed the fitness center. Costa Maya was very nice. We had a great time at an all inclusive beach, Nohoko Key. We snorkeled, kayaked, paddle boarded, ate some good food, and drank some tasty drinks. We also enjoyed the ice skating show, and Grease.
Aft Junior Suite. Great cabin with a great view. We were able to relax in our room. Cabin attendants did a good job attending to our needs.
Explored a little then returned to the ship early. Enjoyed the ship while all the spring break student were at Senior Frogs getting drunker ......
Easy parking and boarding. Return to port was simple enough .
