Viking does a great job. Everything was well organized and the excursions were executed flawlessly. As first-time cruisers, we were most impressed with the outstanding food served on board. The buffets were terrific! We almost hated to miss a meal on board because of their quality and variety of choices. The smaller size of the Viking Sea, with only about 920 passengers and no small children, created a nice relaxing atmosphere for a predominantly older crowd. Our only disappointment was the excursion on Santorini. With 4 cruise ships in port, the roads were jammed and the tourist area was extremely crowded. The local tour guide was not really able to keep us engaged during the long ride to the drop-off point. Other than that, all of the other shore excursions and tour guides were delightful. We will be trying a Viking river cruise for comparison, and will definitely book another ocean cruise with Viking.
