This cruise was a surprise anniversary gift to my husband and was chosen specifically because one of the ports was Sicily where his grandfather was from. He has also never been in any other parts of Italy so we purchased the pre-extension in Rome prior to boarding the Sky. Having Viking meet us at the airport, get us easily to our hotel, then have a rep there each day to help answer questions or make arrangements for us was wonderful. It made it so easy to do everything we wanted to do.
Every aspect of embarkation and disembarkation were perfect. We have traveled on other cruises and this was so incredibly easy in comparison to the ones we had been on previously. There was zero stress, no long lines, everything was easy.
We expected the cabin to be small but the way it was arranged there was plenty of room and even the bathroom and shower were great. We loved the staff who took care of our stateroom. They always remembered our names and seemed genuinely happy to see us during the cruise.
Cabin Review
It was a great cabin. We figured with it being the smallest of all those available it might be a little tight but it was the perfect size. The bed, linens, towels, amenities were all great. Even the entertainment available was awesome. It was great watching some educational TED talk while getting ready in the morning or sitting on the balcony watching the sunrise.
