Area interested us. We had ben to Russia on previous Viking River cruise and wanted to see more of St. Petersburg. The itinerary was excellent and Viking allowed maximum time in ports. Embarkation was seamless as was disembarkation. Security was thorough, but not overly intrusive. Loved the attention to cleanliness. The ship was beauitiful. The cabin was spacious and always filled with everything we needed. Enjoyed the extra activities. We paid for optional tours most days and they were very much worthwhile. Only disappointment was cancellation of a railroad trip in Norway due to storms and landslides. Totally outside of Vikings control. They immediately scheduled an alternative activity free of charge. Also credited back to our account what we paid for the cancelled trip immediately. Very impressed at that service. Food was very good, particularly in the Restaurant. Manfredi's also was excellent. Spent a lot of time in the upstairs library/bar area. Excellent, excellent service.

Cabin Review

Beautiful. Staff cleaned it constantly.

Port Reviews

Helsinki

Not much to see. Walked around local square.

Berlin

included trip from Viking. Had great city tour on bus, then 4 hours on our own to explore.

Copenhagen

excellent overview of castle. Then several hours of free time to explore with many options of coach trip back to the ship.

Bergen

too overcast to see much. Loved walking around Bergen and enjoying local restaurants and markets.
