I was invited by my friend that had just lost her husband and had this trip already planned and booked. I was very impressed with the ship and not being as crowded as other ocean cruise lines. All of the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate all of our needs. I was also very impressed on the day we were to dock in Monte Carlo and were unable to because of the high winds. The ship had to anchor in the bay of Villefranche and we had to tender to shore. That was fine and the crew did a great job with this. Also I was very impressed that my shore excursion was not canceled ( Nice, Eze & Monte Carlo), for there was much planning and rearranging. Thank you to all for this was one of my favorite excursions. This was my first cruise with Viking and we booked another cruise to Portugal's River of Gold, October, 2018. Looking forward to the next cruise and many more.
