We had sailed previously with Viking River Cruises and when looking for a Mediterranean itinerary, focused on the Viking Ocean Cruises. What really surprised us was the fact that the Viking Sky was a brand new ship. This pleasant surprise ensured that everything was brand new and in sparkling condition. We especially liked the Wintergarden where we enjoyed the afternoon teas. The Living Room actually felt like you were sitting in one. It was so very relaxing, elegant yet intimate at the same time. It was nice to see game boards distributed here and there in the Living Room and my husband and I actually played a game of Scrabble. The service was impeccable. In fact, just watching the wait staff methodically change the tablecloths was like witnessing a ceremony. There was no lack of detail that we saw on the entire ship. Smiles and greetings were freely given by any and all staff and crew. It has certainly cemented our decision to definitely sail with Viking in the future.
