Chose this cruise for the itinerary and the new ship. We were second time Viking cruisers having sailed before on one of their river cruises. We were not disappointed!

We were met at Barcelona airport after a very long flight, layover, and short flight by Viking personnel who handled our bags and provided transportation to our ship. A quick meal, unpacked, and off to bed (which was very comfortable).

Shore excursions were for the most part outstanding. Guides were knowledgeable in all cases except for two tours, in Florence, the guide had difficulty with her audio equipment and in Venice, duration of the tour was too long and we missed dinner, since we also had a late night time gondola excursion.
