Our first encounter was transfer from Airport to ship in which Driver 40 mins late of which 20 mins on kerb side and requesting a tip? like hell., second baggage handler asked number of bags and insisted on $10 per bag to lift on cart with others, when asked what for he pushed bag on floor to leave, took his number and reported him (number 1324). Onboard ship at port had already checked with office that we could have drinks without charge, this turned out to be one of many lies, you had to pay the tax in port, only a dollar each drink but a lie. Checked account and found lie two being all included, we had to pay just under $14 each "per day for services", first we heard of it. When I refused to pay, all our services we had already paid for refused. To get a drink was a challenge as unless handing out cash with your room card it was painfully slow. Meals very good with a few minor errors, ie one being set back as cold. But with nearly 4,000 people on board only to be expected. Pool could only fit 30 standing, did I mention nearly 4,000 people on board. most but not all bar staff miserable unlike restaurant staff. When Port call cancelled due to windy weather it took 40 mins for a drink no kidding. Been on cruises before but never ever with such conditions. Gilbert (Hotel Director), Aldo (Beverage Manager) and Charles (Asst Maitre'D) tried to make the balance of my trip enjoyable, unfortunately too late as had already been destroyed. All the above great people (and a few others) extremely helpful and nice, but as mention, damage already done. Ports of call a Joke, may as well been in a shopping mall. Don't be fooled by hype, extra cost all over the place, should you go choose staff on first day to give service charge at each location and stick with them.
