We, like many others were somewhat anxious after reading unflattering reviews about this ship....Thankfully we went aboard with open minds & soon discovered this truly was an exceptional ship operated to the highest standards.

Prior to embarkation we spent a week enjoying Sydney staying at an apartment in the city, an easy transfer to the ship saw us waiting in good time for our designated embarkation time, we joined the queue & within minutes were inside with one of the assistants being checked in, taking all of 5 minutes before again joining a short line for the immigration officers, overall the process took about 20 minutes & considering the number of guests joining the cruise it was very well organised.

Once aboard we were very pleased with what we saw, the ship is designed with many innovative features & plenty of space, the Royal esplanade on decks 4 & 5 felt particularly spacious as did Two70 lounge with its expansive views, bars & bistro style food outlet.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D1

Our stateroom on level 10 forward / midships was central to all our needs, a couple of decks to the lido & Solarium above & easy to access the entertainment levels on the lower levels.

Our steward, Gede was terrific, always available when we needed him but otherwise working behind the scenes to keep everything spotless for us
