I picked this cruise for my wife's 70th birthday. We had been on the Oasis and wanted to try the Allure. What a great ship, we had a wonderful time, we had a balcony cabin overlooking Central Park. The cabin was very nice not the biggest we've have but very comfortable. Our room steward Dorothy was very nice and looked after us and the cabin very well. We had late seating in the main dining room we found the the food very good never had any problems finding something to eat. The service was excellent our servers Sheyling and her assistant Josep were just wonderful. We went to the Samba Grill for my wife's birthday and it was excellent. Also we went to Giovanni's for lunch wonderful meal. Also would recommend Johnney Rockets and the Mexican Sabor did both for lunch very nice. The entertainment overall was very good. Mama Mia was outstanding as was the ice show. The ports we went to were Nassau, St Thomas and St Maarten we stayed aboard and enjoyed the ship when we were in Nassau as we had been there before. We really enjoyed the other two ports. Would recommend this ship and if you can only do either the eastern or the western cruise we would recommend the eastern over the western. We have done both and both are great but we prefer the eastern.
We picked a Central Park view stateroom with a balcony as a change from a ocean view balcony. We really enjoyed it. The cabin was a decent size, not the biggest we've had. Our daughter was with us and when the bed was pulled out for her room was a little cramped. The bed was put back to a couch ever day so was never a problem. Our room Steward kept the cabin spotless and was a super lady.
Love this place we just wandered around did some shopping. Then had lunch at a great little local place on the beachfront, and took in some sun.
just wandered around shopping had lunch at a local place. Great little market of local stuff.
If you're into high end jewelery and watches this could be your place.
