  3. Yunnan Pandaw
We have done and enjoyed several Pandaw cruises previously and were keen to get an intro to China. The cruise and it's pre extension gave us a small taste of that vast land. We were lucky to enjoy the full Pandaw agenda since the Chinese had released significant qty's of water allowing the Champa Pandaw to compete the journey to the start point in China from where we enjoyed a couple of days in the Xishuangbanna area. Pandaw seemed to have learnt rapidly from previous cruises and the new cruise director Andre was able to keep us well informed and content with the cruise and agenda. Staff on the boat were, as usual with Pandaw, dedicated and helpful in the extreme, whilst the vagaries of the Mekong had maximum attention from the sailors and their local pilots who had to know the river otherwise disaster was close at hand. The Irrawaddy holds more interest as far as off boat village tours go, however most days Pandaw came up with a way to stretch the legs and increase the appetite in time for their next delicious offering. We also enjoyed the wine package with a very decent array of world wines. WiFi was often poor but most days we were able to inform the world of our condition although some seemed to have difficulties talking to their brokers! We were happy with the guides offered and the extensive information they gave. Overall a great trip which we would thoroughly recommend.

100% completion of Pandaw agenda!

Cabin Review

Cabin 102
Cabin a little smaller than others but enjoys additional windows looking ahead. Very convenient for on shore trips
