A girlfriend and I decided to get away for a week and the cruise we could afford was on this ship. Its been a few years since I have been on a P&O ship and boy, has the standard dropped. The ship smelt, and right outside our cabin I am sure there was a sewerage leak and the staff spent the whole 8 days cleaning and trying to dry the hallway and carpet. Unfortunately the smell ruined our whole trip as it made my friend and myself very nauseous. We said so on our feedback, but 6 months later, it has still been ignored. Entertainment was very amatuer and the food in the pantry was extremely "fast food" standard, either dry or greasy and finding a table to sit at was near impossible at times.

What happened to the towels being made into little animal shapes on the bed? I see they are still advertising that they do that, but out cabin crew must have been too busy. Not even once did they do that which I was disappointed about. The whole cruise I met people who said that Carnival or Princess were sooo much better. I've only ever sailed with P&O so can't compare. In summing up, the staff were lovely, the ship stank ! literally as well as figuratively.

Cabin twin ocean view

I just hate that we had to sail the whole time with a sewerage leak smell outside our door and we paid good money for that.
