Burying grandpa at Castaway Cay

Our family of 8 just returned from a 7-night voyage on the Disney Fantasy. Our group included 2 sets of grandparents, 1 set of parents and 2 little girls ages 7 and almost 5. It was a thrill for my DH and I to see our granddaughters enjoy the wonder of Disney. We are Elite on Princess, but this was our first Disney cruise. I will focus my thoughts on what the differences between the 2 lines were to me.

Embarkation

We arrived at our scheduled port arrival time of 11 a.m. I am used to long lines of adults at this early arrival time, but it is even crazier with hundreds of little ones waiting in the lounge area to board the ship. Next time I would come after 12:30 p.m. to avoid this.

Cabin Review

Standard Inside Stateroom

Cabin 11C

Very roomy cabin in quiet area. It was very far aft and a long walk to the mid and forward sections of the ship.

Port Reviews

Falmouth

It was an easy walk over to Margaritaville to enjoy their family friendly pool, hot tub and even a few games like musical chairs for the kids. The pool was deeper than I expected so I wish I would have brought floaties for the kids. Expect to pay higher than normal prices for the food to cover the free facilities.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Enjoyed our stay at the Marriot Residence Inn prior to the cruise. We used their shuttle to the port in the morning.

Cozumel

My DH and I stayed on the ship, but the rest of the family enjoyed the submarine adventure.
