Cruise #21 for my wife and myself. We did not go ashore at Saigon (HCM city). Based on feedback from most of the people we talked to that was probably a wise choice. Went to Pattaya because of the time & traffic issues involved with going to Bangkok. Pattaya was interesting and once again based on feedback from those who went to Bangkok we were happy with our choice.

Ship was clean and in reasonably good shape. Only disappointment (and not unexpected) was the continued mediocrity of the food in the main dining room. If you wanted the "good stuff" you really had to go to Ocean Liners which we did 4 times. Celebrity food now is certainly not the Celebrity food of 10-14 years ago! However, it was better than the transpacific on Millie in Sep. 2016 when you had to wait almost forever (especially at lunch) for even more mediocre food.

A new itinerary for us (except Singapore) so we enjoyed this cruise. The weather was very good with only one rainy day at Ko Samui. Singapore is a great turnaround port for both pre and post cruise exploring; definitely one of our favorites. We would recommend.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2B

Cabin 2B

Good location close to rear stairwell & elevators. The balcony is bigger because it angles out at this cabin. Our cabin steward (which is obviously luck of the draw) was superb. Unfortunately he told us he is being moved to a different deck. No maintenance issues of any kind; everything actually worked (including the A\C fortunately). About as good as a regular balcony can get on a M class ship.

Port Reviews

Singapore

If you stay anywhere near the waterfront, Marina Bay. Suntec City area you are close enough to walk to most attractions and take public transportation (bus and\or subway) to any a little further out. It helps that we had been there once before, but in all honesty we feel safer in Singapore than virtually any U.S. city we can think of. We did one day pre and one day post (in addition to prior visit) and still wish we would have stayed at least one more day.
