Amazing 10 days onboard the Royal Princess. We arrived at the port around 11am and was walking on 20 min later. This is my 16th cruise with Princess so no long lines to wait in.

First impressions of the interior was wonderful. She is a beautiful ship and we loved the layout. All Princess ships have a similar layout and the Royal is no different but there are some enhancements that we loved. With the exception of the horizon court and a bar or two, most of the public areas are located near the Grand Piazza, floor 5,6,and 7 and also 16 will be the main areas used during your cruise. Our stateroom was located on Dolphin floor 9 so this means walking several flights of stairs either up or down depending on or destination many times each day. We use this to burn the additional calories consumed during our cruise.

The food on the Royal Princess was very good. We ate in the Main dining room a few times and also Alfredo's and the steak house. Always found the food selection and serves wonderful. Horizon court was the main area we used because of our active cruise style and inability to live by a schedule. The buffet was nice and full of options. A lot of items repeated daily but we had no problem finding something to eat each day. We loved the layout of Horizon court but suggest you walk the whole thing before you make a choice.
