We chose this cruise a little bit last minute based on the itinerary. Due to our late booking only an Aqua class cabin was available which turned out to be very fortunate as we have not experienced this before and would not normally have booked it. It is worth the extra money.

A few days before I left I read some very negative views of this trip so went with low expectations. However the reality was exactly the opposite. The organisation was superb, getting people off the ship and onto excursions was slick - we rarely had to wait more than a few minutes to be issued with the tickets and told to board the coaches - the food in the Blu restaurant was worth paying the extra for Aqua Class (although we didn't really try the main restaurant). The cabin was a good standard and the bathroom was very adequate with a great shower.

The bars were varied in atmosphere with live music at various time for the day ranging from a classical duo to house bands. We had the basic alcoholic drinks package included but upgraded after a few days to the premium package. No strictly necessary but glad we did it. Read more
