we have wanted to go through the Panama Canal for a long time. this is our second time on the Jewel, she is an awesome ship. the first time was spectacular. it is a little hard to live up to that. the new management at NCL, it appears are more concentrated than ever on making money. the prices for photos have been raised, the prices of drinks has been raised and are measured out exactly. NCL had a reputation for giving an outstanding cruise for a reasonable price. however those deals seem to be drying up. the food remains very good, the service by the crew excellent, the entertainment and activities remain good and the shore excursions were outstanding. jewel class ships are so easy to get around on. we were more than lucky with the weather. embarkation went very well, but disembarkation was in a little bit of disarray.
very comfortable and our cabin steward ( Patricia ) did a superior job
