Wanted to see what the Epic was all about and the price/timing was right. We're not thrilled with the wave design of the rooms and bathroom location, its strange and you better be good friends with whoever shares your cabin. The food and entertainment were great, but the layout of the ship is inconsistent and often confusing unless you want a drink. There is no track that allows for a morning walk or run. They claim to have mini-golf, when its just a few water-feature based holes for kids with no equipment in sight. The good news is the water slides are great; just wait until the crowd is ashore.

It sure would be nice if NCL recognized advanced Latitudes members better on short cruises, signage and attitude at embarkation left a lot to be desired. We found it very strange there wasn't even a greeting letter upon reaching our cabin. There was little to no recognition throughout the cruise except to pitch future cruise sales. There was no information offered prior to disembarkation and we got strange looks when when we asked if any would be supplied via TV or hard-copy. Hard to complain too much as we cleared customs earlier than in the past, but it shouldn't be a mystery.

Last, we made dining and entertainment reservations 2 months prior to sailing only to find the times changed when we looked up our "activities" on the TV. There was one letter about one show, but nothing about the 3 of 4 nights dinner reservations that had changed. No messages through MyNCL in the 60 days preceding departure and no explanation on the boat only to say they had knowledge of my online reservations and would honor those times. That went well until the last night when the 20 minute wait at Cagney's got real old, real fast, especially when there was no apology offered.

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Balcony

Cabin B1

The view is just as good even if the balcony is smaller than what you'd normally expect. Small, but roomy enough for 7 days or less. We did appreciate the extra storage areas once we discovered all of them. If there's no smoking allowed in staterooms or on balconies than please enforce it, especially after its been reported.
