Cabin: Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah
Traveled with children

Family of four from the upper Midwest choose Disney because we have been to Disney World several times and have always enjoyed the experiences. Traveled with my husband, 12 year old and 10 year old sons.

Cabin on the Disney Dream: He booked a Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah. Plenty of storage in the closet and dresser drawers, suitcases x 4 all fit under the bed. Hair dryer supplied was very good quality for my long curly hair. Powerful and never produced any frizz. Of note, you can only plug this in to one outlet by the desk, all other outlets are not powerful enough. Verandah was awesome with two chairs on it, used this space when coming into and out of the ports (kids enjoyed watching this), enjoyed the sunsets and just feeling the ocean breeze while at sea. Bunk beds in our room, which my boys enjoyed. The top bunk comes down from the ceiling, this was let down by our room attendant each night while we were eating. On Demand Movies in the room were great for when the boys wanted to wind down for the night. Plenty of outlets for charging our 4 cell phones each night. Used the pull string in the shower to hang the swim suits each night, this worked well. Brought Magnets and decorated out door with pics of our yellow lab, who had to stay back while we cruised:( Used the cell phone texing option with the Disney app. this worked well as the boys often split up from us and did other things. I could text them and find out where they were, nice reassurance. One draw back, you do have to look at your phone every once in awhile to see if you have a text as the text option did not make a sound to notify the receiver of a message.

Weather: was cool at both Nassau and Castaway Cay for February, which made it hard to enjoy the water sports, the pool, the slide and the snorkeling while on the ship and at port. The wind was so strong while on Castaway Cay that all activities were canceled for the day.
