Chose to see the Northern Lights and we weren't disappointed It's the first "cold" cruise we have ever undertaken and wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
Oriana is smaller than we are used to having become accustomed to the larger Azura, Britannia and Ventura. Like everything they all have their unique features. On Oriana I particularly liked the setting out and space between the tables for two in the Peninsula restaurant. I also thought the quality of the food in the Peninsula was the best we have experienced.
Negative...as it's older a bit creakier and the in cabin entertainment/television provision is the poorest of any of the P&O fleet sailed so far. This was exacerbated by the navigation channel which was not working for the entire voyage. As the vessel is smaller there seems a bit less variety in the Conservatory buffet.
Comfortable cabin, with spacious balcony good shower over bath. One drawback (not that it bothered me) an archaic fixed hair blower (dryer would be stretching it)...so if you need to blowdry your locks I would suggest you bring one!
Great to come off the boat into brilliant white snow - so picturesque
Did the scenic railway which was fun
Embarkation only.
CPS Parking efficient and trouble free as usual
