This cruise was part of a package which included 3 nights at Niagara Falls and 3 nights in New York. This was a special trip to mark our Golden Wedding anniversary. The whole trip turned out to be absolutely marvelous and the icing on the (Golden Wedding) cake was our week on the Norwegian Breakaway. We've been on several cruises before with various cruise lines but this ship was the best ever in all respects.

We had chosen a mid-ship cabin with balcony and it was lovely. As good as 5 star hotel accommodation and twice daily room cleaning kept very high standards indeed. The cabin was tastefully decorated, very bright and had a teamaker, TV, mini-bar etc. Staff are polite and friendly but always respectful.

The dining options are plentiful and we had some excellent meals. Even had a burger at 3.00am one time. Our favourite restaurant was Le Bistro closely followed by the Manhattan but to be fair, every restaurant we tried was top quality and the choice of menu diverse. There are lots of bars and a huge variety of top quality, professional entertainment. My favourite was the Charlie Love blues band - real authentic blues. We set off from New York then the ship docked at Cape Canaveral, Great Stirrup Cay then Nassau. Finally returning to New York again. My next cruise will almost certainly be with NCL and I would highly recommend them.

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BC

Thoughtful design made the best use of every inch of space. It was bright and pleasant with T.V., teamaker, two large and comfortable single beds, settee and loads of storage space.

Port Reviews

Great Stirrup Cay

This is a private island owned by NCL. It's not big at all but it is quite beautiful. We had a lovely day here and food and drink was laid on. There were loads of sunbeds available and music provided by a band from the ship.

Nassau

Walked from the ship to the town and back. It's a quaint old place with lots of shops vying for your cash. It's a colourful place with a very laid back feeling. Plenty of taxis and minibuses offering private tours of the island.
