This cruise was at a time when my husband and I needed desparately to get away. His father had died after a long illness and then 7 months later my mother passed away with an extended illness. We just needed to escape it all and we did.

The one major issue with this cruise was the parking. it absolutely sucked. we thought the garage we were parking in was supposed to have people there to help us with our luggage and nobody even helped us figure out how to get to the registration area for the ship. signage was nonexistant and we almost missed the cruise it took us so long to find it. We cruised out of New Orleans and thought once we got thru Marti Gras traffic we were home free not realizing it was going to take us another hour. Even getting off the ship to the parking, the attendant told us we were supposed to take a shuttle but no one once told us there was a shuttle to the garage.

take the parking mess out of the trip and it was wonderful. Spend a lot of time in the Irish bar and had a blast with the bartenders there. We didn't go on any excursions because we wanted to just completely relax and we did. There was plenty of deck chairs at the pool in the sun and in the shade. It was great. The debarkation went really well, probably the best we have ever experienced. Service on the ship was great. Food was good but we never think the cruise food is exceptional ....it was good tho.
