We chose this cruise to go to Mardi Gras. It worked out great as the dock is close to town and we could walk to the parade sites and pretty much anywhere in the French Quarter.

The other ports were OK but we have been to them many times and seen all the sights. Still, the weather was nice and had a good time. Costa Maya has expanded quite a bit since the last time we were there. Much nicer. Lots of stores and restaurant. Nice pool if you want to stay close to the ship.

Food was wonderful in both, the dining room as well as the buffet. The lobster and prime rib were superb.

Cabin FV

The cabin was fine, the problem was its location right under the Quasar Lounge and at night the music could be felt in the cabin (base). We reported it to Guest Service and on the third day they transfered us to a veranda cabin on the 6th deck. The second cabin was 6279 and there were no issues. Plenty of space and quiet.
