We decided to return to RCI after cruising on Holland and Celebrity. We enjoyed our cruise. The staff were courteous, efficient, and responsive.
Our stateroom, with veranda, was sufficient but showed signs of age and use. The bed was not comfortable. The sheets and lighting were fine, but our bed needed a new mattress and definitely new pillows. The veranda furniture was adequate and relatively new. There was adequate dresser and closet space, although the dresser drawer handles showed definite signs of wear. The carpet was in very good condition. The room was serviced 2x per day with fresh towels provided. (Norma, our stateroom service person, did a great job.)
The bathroom was small but adequate. The ship provided generic shampoo via a wall-mounted unit but no conditioner. The hair dryer worked well. Others have taken issue with the cylindrical shower stall and very small clothes line within it. We agree with that assessment, although there isn't any solution, other than to hang wet clothes on hangers and place them on the back of the chairs on the veranda (which we did each evening). While unsightly, that worked well as a short-term solution.
Clean, adequate space for two people but furniture shows signs of wear. Everything is in working order. Lighting is good. Carpet is clean, deck furniture is relatively new. Needs new pillows. Bathroom is small but efficient. Shower is small, but shower head was good with plenty of pressure and plenty of hot water available. Generic shampoo available from wall unit but no conditioner. Towels are decent size and in good condition. Counter space is small but adequate.
Bumping Tour was excellent!! A combination of snorkeling from beach, rain forest walks with waterfalls, Ti Tou Gorge, sweeping ocean vistas from mountain overlooks, entertaining guides who share their passion for their homeland, small group tour with 8-10 people, very reasonably priced, beer and soft drinks but no food provided. Best tour guide (Levi) anywhere in the Caribbean!
We went shopping on our own, used a water taxi on the return. Shopping was much better than at the other islands, although we were deliberate in buying small things at each stop to help support the local economies.
